Ethan "Deets" is Zack's younger brother (diagnosed with autism in 2005).
Ethan is 9 years old.
According to Zack's first book,
Saving Deets!, his mother noticed a decrease in Ethan after receiving his routine round of vaccines at age 8 months.
She claims to have known that Ethan had autism after a series of home-tests. "How I knew this at that moment, I will never know. but I looked at him and said, 'Oh God, he has autism,' " (
Saving Deets!, 14). She later had him diagnosed with autism by their family doctor in Los Angeles, CA, where the family currently resides.
In Summer 2010, Generation Rescue granted Ethan with a Grant from their program for families with autism. Zack has reported that Ethan has improved greatly and plans to soon release footage of his progress.
